My Collaborative Experience in My Mida Donut

My Mida Donut

In 2022, I worked at a donut outlets in Prambanan, Yogyakarta called Amida Donut, which has now changed its name to My Mida Donut. I worked at My Mida Donut for one year before starting college. I took the job to fill my free time after graduating from high school. My Mida Donut has four stores, each with four employees, and every day we shared responsibilities, including cleaning the store, handling the cash register, and making donuts. Every day, we were directly supervised by the owner of My Mida Donut.

At the end of each day, we had to count the daily revenue, and I often made mistakes when calculating the money. These mistakes occurred because the number of donuts sold did not always match the revenue. Whenever this happened, I was always helped by my fellow employees. I had to explain the reason for the error to my boss, who was very understanding and never blamed the employees. Whenever the mistake was purely from the staff, my boss always showed patience and understanding.

From my experience working at My Mida Donut, I learned the importance of accuracy in managing money and the responsibility of being part of a team. Although I frequently made mistakes in counting the daily revenue, I was always supported by my colleagues and my boss. This experience taught me that mistakes are part of the learning process, and the most important thing is how we strive to correct them and not repeat the same errors. It also taught me that having a supportive team is crucial to achieving success together.
